Who We Are
Our story
Vault Pickleball Founders Colton and Jessica first met in 2022 during an outing for Jessica's bowling team. After an introduction facilitated by Colton's husband, who also belongs to the team, the synergy between them quickly sparked the inception of Vault Pickleball. Jessica's expertise in small business development and Colton's background in design and marketing, coupled with their shared passion for community building and social and physical wellness, became the driving force behind their collaboration.
Looking ahead, Colton and Jessica are eagerly anticipating the opening of their indoor pickleball bar and kitchen. They envision a space that not only caters to local athletes and patrons but also attracts enthusiasts from across the state of New Mexico and beyond. As a woman- and LGBTQ-owned business, Vault Pickleball will be a space where diversity is celebrated, and Colton and Jessica look forward to bringing their inclusive, ethical business vision to life.
With a commitment to providing a truly local, exceptionally memorable, and immensely enjoyable experience, Vault Pickleball is poised to make a lasting impact on the community.

What is Pickleball? How do I play?
Pickleball is a hybrid sport that combines elements of tennis and ping pong, and is played on a regulation badminton court with a net similar in height to a tennis net. Players use flat paddles and pickle balls (similar to whiffle balls) to volley. Both singles (1 vs. 1) and doubles (2 vs. 2) are common ways to play.
When will Vault Pickleball officially open?
We anticipate our grand opening to take place in last Spring to early Summer 2025.
Do I need to be a member to play? Can I reserve a court as a non-member?
All customers will be required to register with our free online reservation system prior to playing. Paid memberships will be available to interested customers, and will feature unique perks and benefits, which we will announce closer to our grand opening.
How can I reserve a court? What are the rates?
Reservations will be made and pre-paid online via a third-party app. Rates will be determined closer to our grand opening, and will be competitive with other sport venues with similar offerings.
Are equipment rentals available? What is the cost?
Yes. Paddles and pickleballs can be checked out for free with a court reservation.
What are the food and beverage options? Do you cater to dietary restrictions?
We are currently in conversation with chefs and restaurant vendors, and we are committed to providing quality options for individuals with dietary restrictions. For beverages, we intend to acquire an alcohol license and will offer several non-alcoholic alternatives (soda and mocktails) as well.
Can the lounge areas be reserved for private parties and events?
Our 6 standard courts and lounges have capacity for 8 guests maximum. Our gold and executive courts have capacity for 12 and 20 guests, respectively. Private events will be accommodated on a case by case basis. We are not scheduling private events prior to the grand opening.
What are Vault Pickleball's hours of operation?
Our official hours will be announced closer to our grand opening. However, we intend to remain open 7 days per week, excluding major holidays.
Do you offer lessons or clinics for beginners?
We do plan to offer lessons and clinics for beginners. More details will be announced after our grand opening in early 2025. In the meantime, we recommend joining our free, beginner-friendly Meetup group.
Are there leagues or tournaments I can join at Vault?
We plan to offer both league and tournament play at Vault. More details will be announced closer to our grand opening.
What measures are in place to ensure cleanliness and safety, especially concerning COVID-19?
The safety of our customers is of paramount concern, and we are committed to working with health professionals to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety at our facility.
Is there a dress code or specific footwear required to play?
Yes. Guests will be required to wear non-marking shoes, like tennis shoes, designed for indoor play. This helps to preserve the quality of our courts and ensures a safer playing environment for everyone. To minimize the risk of trips and falls, we ask that our players avoid wearing loose or baggy clothing. We recommend wearing athletic wear that fits closer to the body, allowing you to move freely and safely during play. Protective eyewear will be required for all players, and each court will have safety glasses available for use.
